Sona Sargsyan is a Background Painter from Los Angeles, California currently freelancing for Warner Brothers Animation and Hasbro Studios.

Since graduating from Art Center College Of Design, she has worked for various entertainment companies such as Pixar Animation Studios, Disneytoon Studios, Disney Publishing, Hasbro Studios, Warner Brothers Animation, and Petrol Advertising.

Some of her credits include Disney's Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy(2014), Pixar's Coco(out Nov.2017), and Hasbro Studios' Transformers Robots in Disguise-4 seasons(2016)

Course Description

This class is designed to get you up and running with Adobe Photoshop! Students will explore the basic yet powerful features of the application while also discovering the numerous possibilities of its digital tools. This includes:

  • General UI and toolbar navigation
  • Developing an understanding of sophisticated layering techniques (i.e. layers and adjustment panels, basic masking and grouping, etc.)
  • Using the paintbrush, airbrush, stamp and pencil tools
  • Appling color correction, and other filter effects
  • Isolating image layers (in order to erase/add layers to a specific part of an image)

Live session twice a week (16 sessions)
